Belfast’s landmark Europa Hotel has completed a £15 million refurbishment to its rooms, food and beverage outlets, and meeting spaces.

The property in the centre of the Northern Ireland capital has renovated all 272 rooms, as well as the Europa’s conference rooms, including its penthouse function room, during a phased project over five years.

Hastings Hotels, which runs the Europa Hotel, has revamped the second-floor conference rooms including the introduction of new upgraded LED screens and enhanced acoustics. While the traditional reception area has been replaced with automated systems.

James McGinn, managing director of Hastings Hotels, said: “We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our extensive renovation programme at The Europa Hotel. This transformative project encompasses a comprehensive redesign of all guest rooms, the introduction of state-of-the-art workspaces, and significant upgrades to our food and beverage offerings.

“The Europa has never looked better, and we are genuinely delighted to unveil these stunning enhancements to our valued guests.”

The hotel, which dates from the 1970s, stayed open during the renovation process by sectioning off floors and areas undergoing refurbishment.
